Many ebiz owner spends lots of time, efforts and resources getting their website ontop in search engine. But, they forget the basic and essential elements required for high position in google. Lets get back to basic and see if we have applied those basics to our websites

1. Metas : Title, Keywords and Description. These are important elements required in any kind of website. Title with 70 characters with space containing keywords in first three words. Description, consisting of 150 characters with keywords in first three words and finally Keywords, containing 20 keywords. It is also important to have main keywords in title, keywords, description and content otherwise it wouldnt get any weightage. Further, also to remember, you got to use compound keywords like your title may contain ‘Executive Dressing – New collection for winter in store’ and description could be like this ‘Executive Dressing – wide variety of shirts, trouser and sweaters’. Now when anyone searches for winter sweaters, the search engine will pick winter from title and sweaters from description, so this has to be considered while assembling title. If you have your metas right, then half of the work is done.

2. Web Content : Now coming to content area. Use images and put alt tags to it and remember to have your image file named like executive-dressing.jpg, also put videos and product related information and news on the page so that user may like to go for details. For content ensure you have 4%-7% density. Oh, I forgot to tell you to have heading tag on appropriate heads to get properly index.

There would be many keywords that you couldnt put to your website, in that case, write many articles containing compound keywords so that you can have maxium keywords / compound keywords placed onto your website.

3. Reporting Tools : Finally, dont forget to put Google WebMasterTools and Analytics to the website so that you can monitor the outcome of your efforts.
